rCBlLC NOTlce -is hereby given to the electors of the Municipality Of the City of Victoria, that . require the presence of the said electors In the Court Room at the City Hall, In thn aforesaid City on Monday the Sth day of January. 1912, from 12 noon to - p. m, for the purpose of electing persons to represent them In the Municipal Council as Mayor or Alderman.

The mode of nomination of candidates shall be as follows:

The candidates sliall h,. noiniiiatcd in writing, the writing shall be sub.si rilp-ed' by two voters of the Municipality as proposer and seconder, and ?.\^f.\\ be delivered to tho Returning Officer at any time between the date of the notice and 2 p. m. of the day of nomination, and In the event of a poll being necessary such poll will be open on Thursday, the ,ay of January. 1912, from 9 V-'-iook a. m. to 7 p. m. in the manner following:

For the Offices of Mav^r and Aldermen res'iectlvely, in the W. C. T. U. Building.' M15 Store Street, for Voters in Ward No. 1.

For the offices of .Mayor and Aldermen, respectively. In the Public Market Building, Cormorant Street, for Voters In Ward No. 2.

For the Offices of Mayor and .\Uler-nien, respectively, in the Building -No. 9S1 View Street, for Voters in Ward No.

3.

For the offices ef Mayor and Aldermen, respectively, in the Building No. 614 Courtney Street, for Voters In Ward

No. 4.

For the offices of Mn.-nr an.I ,-\liVr-men respectively, in the Drill Hall. No. 431 Menzies Street, for Voters In Ward No. 5.

The persons qualified to be nominated for end electe<l as the Mayor of the City of Victoria shall be such persons as are male British Subjects of the full age of Twenty-one years, and are not disqualified under any law. and have been for the six months next preceding the day of nomination the registered owner In the Land Registry office of Land or Real Property In the City nf Victoria of the nssrssed value on the ins^ M\inlclpnl A.-scssment Roll of One. Thous-and Dollar", or more, over and above any reglrteretl .hidgmenl or charge, and who are otherwise duly nuallfled as Municipal Voters.
